EO-SCOPExchange conference, focusing on the application of Life Cycle Assessment methodologies to assess soil quality through the collection of open-access satellite data, their potential modelling using machine learning, and the implications of such analyses for the architectural and urban planning of our cities
The conference will take place at the Department of Architecture, University of Ferrara, Via della Ghiara 36, on Friday 18 September 2026.
Participating PhD students will be awarded 2 cross-disciplinary training credits.
The programme for the morning session includes a presentation of the project and three talks by experts in the field, one for each major theme of the interdisciplinary research:
Life Cycle Assessment, Soil Components and Quality, and sustainable landscape and urban design.
In the afternoon, a thematic workshop will be held to demonstrate the use of tools such as OpenLCA and Q-GIS.
