Communication skills for researchers 1st year (cycle 41) - Scientific and technical writing

Minimum attendance: 50% + Passing the final test
The course will be delivered in English.
The course will provide an overview of the issues surrounding the role of the researcher as a public figure representing the scientific community to the wider public, with a particular focus on digital communication in the age of social media, as a result of which every PhD holder may easily find themselves individually representing science to their own network.
The course will consist of two online sessions, each lasting 2 hours, as follows:
- Why and for whom research matters (2 hours online)
- Researchers and the general public in the social media era (2 hours online)
