Passing the final test

This opportunity is offered only once during the three years of the doctoral program.

The IUSS prepares doctoral students with specific language courses, which usually take place in March and April of each year, and covers the costs of the exam and the issue of the certificate.

At the end of these courses, Ph. D. students will take a level exam, which will allow them to register for the OTE test most appropriate to their level of preparation.

Passing the OTE test also allows Ph. D. students to obtain 5 credits for cross-disciplinary training.

The OTE test will be held at the CLA (University Language Center, an Oxford-recognized center, https://www.unife.it/it/cla), via Scienze 41/b in Ferrara, on dates specifically reserved for Ph. D. students.

The Oxford Test of English meets all the quality criteria assessed by the ITALIAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY LANGUAGE CENTERS (AICLU) and is included in the list of certifications recognized by Italian university language centers.
