English course - C1

• The English language courses offered by IUSS are taught by highly qualified native speakers
• Participants will be divided into B1, B2, and C1 groups based on an initial test of their existing English language skills
• C1 group will follow an online course structured in 11 lessons of 2 hours each.
• Teachers will use a Classroom to share teaching materials with participants: the Classroom code will be communicated by the IUSS office to Ph. D. students in the various groups
• Lessons, scheduled from the second week of March until the end of April (the calendar and timetable are currently being finalized), will take place via Google Meet meetings: links for participation will be sent by the IUSS office to those enrolled in the courses
• Attendance will be recorded automatically: it is recommended that institutional accounts (@unife.it) be used rather than private accounts (@xxx.com or similar)
• At the end of the course, there will be a final online test: to take the final test, a minimum attendance of 75% of the lesson hours is required
• Passing the final test will result in the award of 5 credits for cross-disciplinary training

N.B.

Passing the final test also allows doctoral students to register free of charge (the costs are covered by IUSS) for the OTE (Oxford Test of English) language certification test, which is held periodically at the CLA (University Language Center)
