Doctoral thesis

As established by the "Regolamento di Ateneo in materia di Dottorato di Ricerca", the academic title of Doctor of Research is awarded at the end of the doctoral programme, following the successful evaluation of a research thesis that contributes to the advancement of knowledge or methodologies in the chosen field of study.

The doctoral thesis is therefore the result of in-depth research carried out by the candidate during the PhD programme, under the guidance of a supervisor.

The thesis is written in Italian or English, or in another language, subject to authorisation by the Academic Board, and it is accompanied by a summary (abstract, indicating the subject of the research, the methodologies used, the results and impact achieved, and the bibliographic sources consulted).

During the degree application procedure on the studiare.unife.it portal, doctoral students must upload their thesis (max. 3 files of 50 MB each), written in accordance with the specific requirements in PDF/A format (unsigned).

IMPORTANT: The thesis document uploaded during the degree application procedure must potentially be the final version (i.e. COMPLETE IN ALL ITS PARTS – title page, contents, correct spelling, acknowledgements, etc.) because, if approved by the Evaluators, it will no longer be possible to modify the thesis attachment and it will AUTOMATICALLY become the final thesis file, stored in the UNIFE Institutional Archive of Research Products, SFERA (www.sfera.unife.it), as well as in the Catalogues of the Central National Libraries of Rome and Florence.
