Is the abstract to be submitted by October 10th, along with the annual final report, the same one to be uploaded to the studiare.unife.it platform when applying for the degree?
No, these are two documents with different purposes. Specifically:

The abstract to be sent with the final report is an element of judgment, useful to the Academic Board for evaluating the thesis's admission to the Degree Award Procedure. The suggested structure is the one indicated in the Guidelines:

The abstract to be inserted during the degree application on the studiare.unife.it platform (in Italian and English) has a maximum length of 4000 characters, including spaces (with the specification that special characters, including chemical formulas, are counted as multiple characters).
