Safety in the workplace: training and work risk assessment

Each doctoral student, in compliance with current legislation on Safety and Health in the Workplace (Art. 37 of Legislative Decree 81/08, State-Regions Agreement of 21 December 2011 and subsequent amendments and additions and Art. 33) is required to attend the e-learning training course consisting of GENERAL TRAINING (4 hours) and SPECIFIC TRAINING (4 hours) equivalent to 8 hours of compulsory worker training (low risk). Any additions to the safety training will be communicated to individuals on the basis of the assessment of the work risks to which they will be exposed.

Those who have already attended safety training courses (documented by means of the relevant certificates) are requested to contact the Safety Office, for the recognition of credits and consequent exemption from the activity in question (Prevention and Protection Service, e-mail: sicurezza@unife.it).

How to access the platform

To start the online training you need to connect to the address: unifesicura.unife.it/course/view.php?id=16 and log in with your university credentials.

Once you have logged in, you will access an e-learning course that includes the use of texts and intermediate self-assessment tests.

There are also two assessment tests (the first for General Training and the second for Specific Training), after which you will have to download the relative certificates and send them to sicurezza@unife.it.

Although the intermediate tests are not relevant to the final assessment, they are indispensable as they are intended to gradually unlock the different modules of the course.

Completion of the SOSIA software should be coordinated with one's supervisor and is preparatory to the suitability visit by Health Surveillance. Information on work activities, possibly related to the use of equipment and handling of chemical and biological agents, is to be entered into the software. This information allows the Prevention and Protection Service to assess specific work risks. When data entry is completed give notification by e-mail to  sicurezza@unife.it.

How to access SOSIA

From the link: formazionesicurezza.unife.it/sosia login with your university email credentials. From the menu on the left of the screen within “Guidelines” you can download the user manual.
