Planned Activities
This Macro-area offers doctoral programs in:
- Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology
- Chemistry
- Evolution and Enviromental Biology
- Pharmacology and Molecular Oncology
- Biomedical Science, Endocrinology and Neurophysiology
- Pharmaceutical Science
The institutional documents of the IUSS establish the Guidelines of the Doctorate Degree Plan for the macro-area.
Besides the courses and seminars given in each of the doctorates, specific academic offerings are planned for each macro-area.
For doctoral students and post-docs of the Med-bio area a program is available for yearly mobility fellowships at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC), based on an agreement between University of Ferrara and Ohio State University.
The coordinator of the Macro-area of Medicine and Biology is Professor Pier Andrea Borea.
