Interdisciplinary activities 2014

XXIX cycle PhD students have to attend to the interdisciplinary activities organised by IUSS-Ferrara 1391, and a minimum of 20 credits must be obtained in the firs two years of doctoral Courses.

The activities gives 5 credits each:

Look at the planned initiatives:

  • Cycle of lectures about the "Techniques of communication and persuasion", Prof. Emanuele Montagna. 3,4,17,18 February from 15 to 18, IUSS-Ferrara 1391 Via Scienze 41b. Brochure downloadable.
  • Cycle of seminars about Research menagement, knowledge of the search engines and of the founding systems (prof. S.Salmasi e prof. S.Capitani). Calendar: 5, 12,19 e 26 February 2014 from 15 to 17, IUSS.Brochure.
  • Italian Course for foreigners organised by the Unife Linguistic Center, Autumn. Courses are divided into five levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1), according to the parameters set down by the Common European Framework of Reference. Courses will be held from Mondays to Fridays, between 8.30 and 19.00. Enrollment until 15th September 2014. PhD students that follow the course for the first time are admitted without tuition fees.   • English course thought by a mother tongue teacher, organised by IUSS. Placement test for dividing students into groups is going to be done on 11 March (the structure is open from 9,30 to 16,30). Students could not be present, have to ask information the to IUSS Secreteriat.  2014 class calendar.
  • ESOL Certificates (Pet, First, Advanced upon requests). After a placement test, PhD students could book an exam and attend it, without tuition fee (if is their first time). The dates of the Exams are decided by ESOL Cambridge Examinations (generally a period from October until December). More information
