Interdisciplinary Activities

The IUSS-Ferrara 1391 promotes and organizes cultural and scientific interdisciplinary activities intended for all graduate students.

In view of the internationalization that distinguishes it, the school will provide Italian students with the tools for learning foreign languages, and will provide international students with the tools for learning the Italian language.

Each year, the Institute chooses a theme of great scientific and social relevance that fuses the initiatives of the interdisciplinary events and the academic macro-areas. On this chosen theme, the Institute offers to the graduate students and to the city a series of conferences which illustrate the scientific issues as well as the economic and social aspects. These conferences are intended as opportunities for cultural enrichment and social gathering for the graduate students, but also as events to bring together the University community and the city of Ferrara.

For the current year, the chosen theme is: Crisis and renaissance.
